UK No 1 in electricity price rise chart

New research undertaken by The Underfloor Heating Store shows that the UK tops the electricity price rise chart with a staggering increase of 129.1% over the last year (see: https://www.energylivenews.com/2022/07/06/uk-electricity-prices-soared-by-129-over-the-lastyear/#:~:text=Big%20Zero%20Report%202022&text=The%20UK%20has%20been%20hit,household%20electricity%20costs%20in%20Europe). The Czech Republic and the Netherlands followed with an increase of 121.6% and 108.5%.

The research analysed global costs of electricity and world-wide in 2022 and compared the figures to household costs last year. While UK electricity prices are up 129.1% gas prices have risen by 209.1%

Of the 24 countries analysed the UK has seen the fourth largest increase in gas prices, with Belgium topping the chart with 234.1% closely followed by Bulgaria with a massive 225% hike.
