Settle Towards a Fair Trade Community (re-arranged)

January 14 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

ACE Food Group are hoping that Settle can become a Fairtrade Community (aka Town) in the not too distant future. This will require support and involvement from Settle Town Council, schools and businesses, event organisers and individuals. Most of the churches are already using Fairtrade goods.

Liz Roodhouse from Fairtrade Skipton will be giving us a presentation and a short film showing how Fairtrade is helping farmers overseas. There will be ample time for questions and a discussion plus Fairtrade goods to purchase.

Yorkshire is the only Fairtrade county in the UK and a Fairtrade Way is being planned. It will run from Bradford, through our area, and then on to Lancaster/Garstang.

To learn more about Fairtrade and why it matters come along to ACE Green Cafe at St John’s Methodist Church, Settle on January 14th from 10.30am.

Refreshments available along with fair trade products for sale.
