While high level negotiations were taking place at COP 26 in Glasgow to avoid disastrous levels of global heating, people in Settle were expressing their views on whether the government was doing enough to tackle the climate crisis. A stall was set up by ACE opposite Settle market on Tuesday 9 November, and people were invited to place a coloured ball in one of three boxes (pictured). All but three were placed in the ‘No’ box.
Despite the light rain many people were also keen to discuss just what was going on in Glasgow and whether enough was being done worldwide to limit greenhouse gas emissions and prevent irreversible damage to our climate.
