Electrical vehicle rapid charging points are now operating in Settle’s Ashfield Car Park. They were installed by Craven District Council and after some delays, down to technical reasons, one unit came operational this week. They should prove a great boost for local tourism. Until now Settle’s nearest electrical vehicle charging point was the Genie Point Charging Station at The Courtyard on the A65 (BD24 9JY).
Meanwhile the government has announced plans to increase the number of electrical vehicle charging points to 300,000 by 2030. The UK currently has 30,000 public electric vehicle charging points (more at: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-60863974.)
